Proper road signage needed at bottom of the Rathmullen Road urges councillor

-

A CONFUSING junction at the bottom of the Rathmullen Road, with roads leading to the Boyne and Sheephouse, needs to be looked at by Meath County Council.

Cllr Paddy Meade has raised the matter with officials, saying ‘ there’s no lines’ at the junction and people are very confused about who has the right of way.

‘It needs attention,’ he told a recent council meeting in Duleek.

He raised the issue along with a number of proposals to improve safety at schools in the district.

‘A lot of schools are hard to access,’ he claimed. The junction in Lobinstown needs low cost safety measures, stating that there had been three accidents there this year alone.

Stackallen school also had problems, he continued.
