Sporting jerseys galore for big IMND night in Kells
A SERIES of star prizes have been secured for an auction at the Irish Motor Neurone Disease Gala Ball, taking place in the Headfort in Kells.
The event, on June 23, is a vital fundraiser for all aspects of Motor Neurone and some big names have rowed in behind it.
One of the items secured is a signed team jersey from the Springboks team which will be delivered on the 5th November when the team arrive in Ireland. The jersey will be signed by the team members who play Ireland on the 11th November 2017 (promissory letter received from S.A Rugby)
Two category 1 tickets to Ireland v South Africa in Aviva Stadium Saturday 11th November sponsored by IRFU. Two tickets to Ireland v Argentina in Aviva Stadium, Saturday November 25th with access for 2 to Former International Bar afterwards (Donated in memory of Eamonn McGuire by his family)
A signed Irish team jersey sponsored by the FAI, a signed photograph of Paul Pogba of Manchester Utd (certificate of authenticity, including a matching hologram will be forwarded by Manchester United following the auction), a 4 ball in County Louth Golf Club Baltray and an Oil Painting of Achill painted and donated by a local artist

St Anthony’s Novena takes place at St Peter’s Church, to Tuesday June 13.
Preacher is Fr David Collins OFM with masses at 10.30am and 7.30pm daily, except Saturday, June 10, 10.30am and 6.15pm.
Sunday June 11 - Mass at 11am, Holy Hour at 7.30pm.
Tuesday June 13 - Blessing of lilies at both masses. Blessing of children at 4pm and closing mass at 7.30pm.

Greenhills camp
The Greenhills summer sports Camp will take place this year for two weeks: July 10th to the 14th and July 17th to the 21st. This year they have added two fantastic new activities; The Rodeo Bull Ride & The Wipeout Game- also known as The Last Man Standing. Land of Legends 8k in Clogherhead
Land of Legends 8k event will take place on the 27th August 2017 at 11:00am sharp in the picturesque village of Clogherhead, Co. Louth and covers the beach, headland, farmlands, harbour and pier.
You can run, jog or walk or crawl the 8km route. While on route they will be challenged by natural and man-made obstacles, such as the The Army’s 27th Infantry Batallion will put you through your paces on the beach to be followed by the Farmer’s Pyramid. Watch out for the swamp too, followed by the Harbour Stretch This is just a taste of what you’re getting yourself into!
All participants will be individually timed for their own records. The first 300 registered will be guaranteed a t shirt and goody bag. Early Bird closes Friday 31st May at 6 pm. Online Registration closes Friday 25th August at 6 pm. The handsome Mr. Tayto will also be in attendance

Ruby Wax in the TLT in November
RUBY Wax brings her new one-woman show to the Drogheda stage on November 6 when she appears at the TLT.
Barney to face Michael Van Gerwen
THE Barney Army meets the Green Machine at the TLT on September 27th for an eagerly awaited darts exhibition.
Champion of the world, Mighty Michael Van Gerwen takes on his Dutch compatriot Raymond Van Barneveld.
John McDonald from Sky Sports is the MC on the night and referee is George Noble.
The players will play a best of 13 set match and there will be a raffle and auction on the night with great prizes including memorabilia and a chance to play against MVG or RVB on the night!
Standard tickets are €30 and VIP tickets are priced at €70. Note that the VIP tickets include a meet and greet with the two players before the exhibition as well as a priority seat for the event. These tickets are very limited.
