The Lotto draw takes place every Thursday night during the interval at the Bingo in St. Kevin’s Community Centre . All envelopes must be in by 9pm on the night of draw.

Bingo takes place every Thursday in St. Kevin’s Community Centre and starts at 8pm sharp, there are shop facilities and compliment­ary tea/coffee at the interval.

A bus leaves Monasterbo­ice at 7:15 and then from Pat’s Gift Shop Dunleer at 7:30.

The parent and toddler group is still running in St Kevin’s Community Centre each Wednesday morning at the earlier time of 10:30 until 12pm. All welcome along with your little ones. This is a very relaxed group and a great way for both parents and kiddies to mingle. Why not drop in for a chat and a cuppa while your little treasures have a play. “MEN’S SHED”

The folks at St Kevin’s are hosting a barn dance and BBQ, , music is by the fabulous Texas Wildcats followed by D.j ,There will be a full bar, tickets are very reasonable at only €20 and are on sale as we speak in St Kevin’s Community Centre and various other outlets. A wonderful nights entertainm­ent is to be expected with a jiving competitio­n for some added fun. So dust off your Stetsons and polish up the old cowboy boots in preparatio­n for what promises to be the event of the Summer and one not to be missed! JIVING LESSONS

You’re not too late if you wish to partake in these classes as you can pay as you go. It is no coincidenc­e that these lessons are just in time to perfect your moves for the jiving competitio­n which is scheduled at the upcoming barn dance in June. It’s all a bit of craic whether you enter the competitio­n or not. Classes are €5 each or there is a package deal where you get a ticket for the barn dance and all 5 lessons for €40.Pop along to St Kevin’s Community Centre where it’s all happening each week at 8pm. It’s that time of year again, St Kevin’s are holding their 5k road race on 28th of July. To help anyone who wishes to take part there will be a training programme which will be held each Tuesday and Thursday evening and also Saturday mornings. Training will begin this coming Tuesday June 6th so no excuses folks, plenty of time to prepare! This race is open to all levels of runner and is a great family event and can include all family members from babies to grans & grandads. WEDDING BELLS

Two of St Kevin’s finest have swapped football boots for wedding gowns recently. Congrats to Susan Byrne and Paula Murray who wed in a beautiful setting last weekend in Slane. Wishing you both a lifetime of happiness together.
