RUN WITH DON.

A local teacher currently residing in Termonfeckin has been running for almost a year, raising funds to help those suffering from Alzheimer’s disease.

Since June 2016, Don Thornton, a maths and computer science teacher in St. Mary’s Diocesan School has been running 10km a day. So far, Don has raised over €10,000 which will be given over to the Drogheda Alzheimer’s Group towards the building of a new state of the art facility for those suffering from the disease and he could be well on track to double that amount. Next Saturday June 10th,

Don will undertake his final 10km run, thereby completing his year’s running at Mc Evoy,s Field, Nunneryland around 3pm. Are you a runner, would you like to support Don as he completes his final 10km by running alongside him, offering him encouragement right up to the finish line. This will be a great achievement for him when he crosses the line and it would be great to acknowledge it. Check out his facebook page for more details.
