July decision on 133 new homes on Marsh
APPLICATION SITE WAS PREVIOUSLY GRANTED WITH 260 HOMES
A DECISION is expected on July 12th on a proposed development of 133 homes on the Marsh Road.
The homes will be two storey residential dwellings in a mix of detached, semi-detached and terraced form. Vehicular access is from the Marsh Road (R150).
The development also provides for all associated site development works including alterations to ground levels, internal roads, car-parking, footpaths, open space, public lighting, landscaping and boundary treatments.
The application site was previously granted planning permission for 260 residential units.
Pat Neville Builders were granted that permission in 2006. The initial application was for 318 houses with a four storey apartment block.
The council had sought €2.3m in development levies with it.
There was also a contribution of €400,000 sought for the ‘provision of odour control measures to assist in the mitigation of odours’ from the nearby waste water treatment plant.
The development address is at Newtown , Lagavooren, bordering onto the Marsh Road.
