Surely we have enough planners and engineers to do a great job on this sight

I KNOW there are some very astute planners, engineers and outdoor staff in the council and I wonder what they’ll think about this.

We have the Fleadh Cheoil coming up next year and we need to start on getting the town looking right.

But when you come across the Bridge of Peace and stop at the lights, there is a terrible eyesore to the left, an old house with slates missiing and graffiti all over it. It creates a terrible impression. So, what are the chances of a fence being put up in front of the railings, with a tree or bush or two being added to cover the abysmal sight.

It would not take a great deal of work, but the end result would be a transformation.
