Garden plan for the Augustinian

THERE is a fabulous garden on the way at the side of the Augustinian Church.

The plan is to develop an area where people can go and prayer, or think or just sit and relax.

There will be a commemoration aspect to it and I know there’s a proposal to put up a mural on the back wall of Benny Dowd’s place. I wonder what the mural will be. I think an element of Dr Anderson, a great man for the town in centuries past, would be very appropriate.

The best of luck to the Augustinians with the project and we’ll keep an eye on its progression.
