Woman sent foward
A WOMAN has been sent forward for trial accused of assaulting another person causing them harm at Mosney Accommodation Centre nearly three years ago.
Joy Oboh (34) with an address at Woodland Avenue, Mosney Accommodation Centre in Julianstown is charged with assault causing harm to the other person contrary to Section 3 of the Non Fatal Offences Against the Person Act on July 1st, 2014 at the accommodation centre.
A book of evidence was served on the defendant at Drogheda District Court by Inspector Brendan Cadden who said the Director of Public Prosecutions has directed the defendant be sent forward to Trim Circuit Criminal Court for trial or on a signed plea.
Judge John Coughlan told the defendant she is now being returned for trial to Trim Circuit Court for a hearing on June 27th. She has not yet indicated how she intends to plead.
