‘Boundary unfair’

-

THE DECISION not to extend Drogheda’s boundary into a part of Co Meath was ‘unfair’ according to the outgoing mayor of Drogheda, Oliver Tully.

‘It needs to be relooked at,’ he continued. ‘ People are being disenfranchised. They think they are in Drogheda but are in Co Meath. They’d like that formulated.’

He said the council should ‘ keep the boundary on the boil’ and that ‘people in the south (of the town) should be part of Drogheda town.’

He made the comments as he vacated the position last week.
