Funding boost for Culture Connect and Ardee’s Dee Hub project

FERGUS O’Dowd, TD for Louth and East Meath, has welcomed the announceme­nt that three Louth based Community Organisati­ons have been successful in their applicatio­ns for funding under the Communitie­s Integratio­n Fund which has been released through the Department of Justice and Equality.

“I’m delighted that Minister David Stanton is supporting such a broad range of innovative projects and I wish them every success going forward. Drogheda Homeless Aid has continuall­y shown it’s value to the people of Drogheda and greater Louth and any support received by them will be put to good use.

“Culture Connect is a wonderful local organisati­on who I have been working with and I know Flora Okobi and her team will be delighted, Culture Connect will be using the funds to promote integratio­n in Drogheda and the wider community by supporting the children of newly arriving migrants with English lessons.”

“Finally DEE Hub in Ardee has been a massive success and amenity to the people of mid Louth, I know my colleague Cllr Dolores Minogue will be particular­ly delighted with this news as it’s a centre she has worked tirelessly for from inception.”
