Funding boost for Culture Connect and Ardee’s Dee Hub project
FERGUS O’Dowd, TD for Louth and East Meath, has welcomed the announcement that three Louth based Community Organisations have been successful in their applications for funding under the Communities Integration Fund which has been released through the Department of Justice and Equality.
“I’m delighted that Minister David Stanton is supporting such a broad range of innovative projects and I wish them every success going forward. Drogheda Homeless Aid has continually shown it’s value to the people of Drogheda and greater Louth and any support received by them will be put to good use.
“Culture Connect is a wonderful local organisation who I have been working with and I know Flora Okobi and her team will be delighted, Culture Connect will be using the funds to promote integration in Drogheda and the wider community by supporting the children of newly arriving migrants with English lessons.”
“Finally DEE Hub in Ardee has been a massive success and amenity to the people of mid Louth, I know my colleague Cllr Dolores Minogue will be particularly delighted with this news as it’s a centre she has worked tirelessly for from inception.”
