Drogheda and District Support 4 Older People held their third ‘certificates of achivement’ presentation evening in the Highlanes Gallery .

For the past five years the Drogheda & District Support 4 Older people have been running Failte Isteach (English Conversation) classes for foreign nationals using the volunteers as teachers.

The classes are run on Tuesday evenings from September to May , the students who attended over 80 % of the classes were recipient’s of the certificates which were presented by deputy mayor Pio Smith .

The commitment and dedication of the eighteen volunteer teachers and the three helpers was also recognised with the awarding of “Certificates of appreciation”. After the presentations and many photo opportunities everyone adjourned to the Relish cafe for tea, coffee and cakes.
