Cianan’s show hits the spot

ST CIANAN’S BC’s annual show proved to be a big ‘hit’ as boxers from Bracken, Holy Family, Ardee and Dealgan converged on Duleek for a great afternoon of fights.

There were some cracking contests from underage up to intermediate level and Cllr Stephen McKee dropped down to spend the afternoon presenting the various trophies.

It has been another great year for St Cianan’s, with two more National titles - a fourth successive one for Gavin Rafferty and a first for Elise Carey. Wayne Rafferty also won silver at the Irish Under-22 Championships and the club also won two Leinster titles and a provincial silver for Jack McKenna.

Completing the long list of achievements for St Cianan’s, Ben Lynagh and Jack McKenna won Louth Open titles for the first time.
