Greenhills Students claim Top Prizes in Belfast

Niamh Ann Kelly and Judith Ugwuja competed at the Senimus Young Innovators Science and Engineerin­g Fair in Belfast on the 12th June. This is the Northern Ireland young scientists for students aged 11- 19 years.

Judwith won the silver intermedia­te (14-16 years) category receiving a trophy and cheque.

Niamh Ann won a special award of trophy and cheque from the Royal Society of chemistry for the best Chemistry project. She also won the Grand Award (Highest award at the exhibition).

This is the Sentimus young innovators 2017 Intel Ireland Award. Niamh Ann receives an all-expenses paid trip to represent Northern Ireland at Intel ISEF (Internatio­nal Science and Engineerin­g Fair) , Pittsburg, Pensylaniv­ia in May 2018.

Congratula­tions to both students and their teacher Frances O Regan who was awarded the Intel Teacher of excellence which includes an all-expenses paid trip to Pittsburgh with her student.
