PRINCE BRINGS OUT THE CROWDS

Monaco visitor wants to return to Drogheda ‘very soon’

- By HUBERT MURPHY

PRINCE Albert II of Monaco has said he would love to return to Drogheda after declaring that he was ‘infinitely grateful’ for the dedication of a rose garden in his mother’s memory.

He spent a number of hours in the town on Friday, meeting many people who shared fond memories of his mother and father, Prince Rainier, who visited Drogheda in 1961.

That included 95-year-old Sr. Jude Walsh who helped organise their tour of Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital 56 years ago.

Kevin Dignam, who drove the princess during that visit, also met him.
