Alleged damage to supermarke­t

A YOUNG man who is alleged to have caused nearly € 2,300 worth of damage in a supermarke­t is to have his case heard in September.

Sean Bowes (20) of The Anchorage in Bettystown is charged with causing € 2,299.36 worth of damage to Donovan’s Supervalu in Bettystown on September 26th, 2016.

On hearing the alleged amount of damage, Judge John Coughlan accepted jurisdicti­on to have the case heard at District Court level.

He granted defence barrister Irene Sands a hearing date of September 15th.
