Fire fighters clean up for Hannah

- BY HUBERT MURPHY

BIG-HEARTED fire fighters showed their support for the Hannah Donnelly fund by staging a car wash at the station on Saturday morning.

The fire crews wanted to do something for Hannah who is a big supporter of charities herself.

She is presently in Temple Street Hospital where she is expected to remain for some time.

The initiative of the fire fighters drew a great response and they were delighted to do their bit for the cause.

The event is just one of a number arranged to support Hannah and her family.

The Church of Ireland centre on Peter Street hosted a Mad Hatters Party recently.

This Saturday, at 2pm, there will be a very unusual sight in Collon with the monastery there hosts a sponsored Santa walk - just in time for summer Christmas!

There will be Santa hats but the organisers will hope - no snow!

There are sponsor cards available or just come on the day.
