Stole alcohol from Dunnes Stores

-

A MAN who stole alcohol worth €111 from the same supermarket on five occasions over a two week period had his case adjourned for a Probation Report.

Ramunas Tamasauskas (38) stole the alcohol from Dunnes Stores in Drogheda on dates between August 18th, 2016 and August 31st, 2016.

Defence solicitor Barry Callan told Judge John Coughlan at Drogheda District court the defendant has ‘ the full amount of compensation’ for the supermarket.

Noting the compensation was paid over, Judge Coughlan remarked ‘He seems to have a habit of nicking alcohol. Perhaps a Probation Report would be an idea to see if that can help him.’ Agreeing, Mr Callan said ‘Yes, he seems to have a problem.’ Judge Coughlan put the case back until October 13th for the Probation Services to compile the report.
