We should get ‘James Bond’ Pierce Brosnan to open Lourdes extension

NEVER one to turn down an opportunity, I wonder would the HSE consider a novel move in relation to the extension at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital.

The new extension - or certainly part of it - is due to open by the end of the year.

So what about getting a famous name - born in the hospital - to do the opening, namely 007 himself, Pierce Brosnan.

The 64 year old actor was born in Our Lady of Lourdes on May 16 1953.

I know he still has friends around Drogheda. They might ask him if he’s imterested and then we’ll tackle the HSE!
