Collon teacher sings in Monaco

1961: Gone to Monaco with Our Lady’s Choral Society is Miss Mary Hanratty, Collon, a teacher in Loreto NS, Dublin. She is a daughter of Mr. W. Hanratty, N.T. Collon. The 200 members of the choir left Dublin Airport for Monte Carlo on Friday last where the choir will sing Beethoven’s Choral Symphony at the Monte Carlo Musical Festival .

The choir will spend a fortnight in Monte Carlo and are singing at the Monte Carlo Musical Festival on the special invitation of Prince Rainier and Princess Grace.

Miss Kanratty. who has been a member of Our Lady’s for the past four years, has sung with the choir in London. Manchester , Dublin, Limerick and Mullingar.
