Council meetings set to broadcast live!

The public should be able to watch council proceedings broadcast live on the internet.

Councillor Kenneth Flood called for steps to be taken ‘in interest of transparency and following best practice set in other councils’ to broadcast the public council meetings live.

CEO Joan Martin confirmed that the council will allow the broadcast of meetings over the internet, and although funding is not available under the current budget, research can be carried out into the likely cost and such funds could become available for 2018.
