Lunchtime concerts

There will be a series of Lunchtime Pop- up Concerts in the Tourist Office in the Tholsel, West Street, in conjunctio­n with the Internatio­nal Festival for Irish Harp which takes place in An Grianan, Termonfeck­in until Friday June 30th.

Tuesday June 27th; Harpists Rachel Duffy and Fiona Gryson . Rachel , who is from Bray, plays with the National Folk Orchestra and has won prizes at both Fleadh Cheoil na hEireann and the Feis Ceoil including the Carolan Cup in 2016. Fiona has been a multiple prize winner at Dublin Feis Ceoil, Sligo Feis Ceoil and the Keadue Harp Festival. She has performed as principle harpist with the Ulster Orchestra, the Hibernian Orchestra and the East Cork Choral Society

Thursday June 29th; Harpists Dearbhail Finnegan and Deirdre Granville. Dearbhail is the founder of the Meath Harp Ensemble and director of the Meath Harp Academy and has a busy solo performanc­e career. Deirdre has performed extensivel­y throught the UK, Europe, America and Austrailia and is director of the Kerry Harp ensemble and has performed with Michael Flatley and Sharon Sharon Shannon.

All the concerts start in the Tholsel at 1pm and are Free. Full details of the festival on www.harpfestiv­al.ie.
