BOTH sides went into this JCFC clash on the back of opening-round victories, but it was Ratoath who maintained their winning ways at Walterstow­n.

Syddan started with points from Darren Smith, Conor Dillon and Kevin Carry, but by half-time Ratoath who were ahead, 0-5 to 0-4. They increased their lead on the restart, and with Syddan struggling for scores their opponents retained their lead.
