BALLINLOUGH picked up their first points of the year in Division 2 following an unexpected home victory on Friday evening.
Curraha started well and were boosted by an early goal from Andrew Coyle and they eventually led 1-3 to 0-4 at half-time.
The third quarter proved the decisive period as the hosts hit five successive points. With Gavin Coyle in fine form in attack, Curraha got back into contention, but they then conceded a goal and never recovered as Ballinlough went on to record an easy win. •St Colmcille’s suffered a blow in their quest to return to Division 1 when only managing a draw, 2-10 each, with Meath Hill. Duleek/ Bellewstown’s promotion hopes ended with defeat to Ratoath.
