Larch helps when you lack confidence

-

Those of you that know me will assume that I am confident and outgoing. I am those things most of the time. I talk to you in the shop, on the radio, and keep you up to date in the paper. Naturally, you would assume that I am full of confidence.

But, I am not always. When I have to do things outside of work I can be extremely shy and lack confidence. Without the help of Bach Flowers, I would have run away many times. I told you in the past about how the remedy Willow helped me recognise that I was feeling sorry for myself, here are some more of the flower remedies that I have used.

I can lack confidence in myself sometimes, and feel inferior at social gatherings, or before public speaking. This can include workshops, training events, meetings, radio, or anywhere that I have to speak or present something. Larch is the remedy that improves my confidence. It helps me to believe in myself, that I do have the knowledge and the ability, and that I am not inferior to everyone else.

There are times when I feel that I have nothing to add to conversations either socially or at work related events. When I am in this mood I find that I cannot open my mouth. And would certainly rather stay at home, curl up in a ball and hide so that I can avoid the situation altogether. Water Violet helps me here. I can feel it gently encouraging me to come out of my shell to socialise and to embrace and enjoy life.

At times I can feel anxious. Deep breathing to calm myself helps a little. And I take Aspen which is the remedy to help deal with anxiety. It helps the butterfly feelings in my stomach and the palpitations in my heart area when I feel like this.

Rock Rose is the remedy I use when I feel panicky before a radio interview. It’s a fantastic remedy to calm the nerves. It’s one of the remedies in Rescue Remedy.

There are 38 Bach flower remedies I can choose from, and they can be mixed in any combination. The flower remedies always help me–I hope they will help you too.
