THIS will be an interesting barometer of where both these sides are at.

Louth’s most successful club are considered something of a dark horse for Joe Ward this summer with generous odds of 6/1 on offer.

With the calibre of player at their disposal they should be among the favourites, but things haven’t been going well since their last title in 2013.

They seem to have most of their big names back now and have added a few new, exciting ones to the starting XV, so if they gel, they’ll be a match for anyone.

But Kilkerley are struggling too and for that reason this may just be the opener the Blues need.
