PATRICK CREHAN

Sincere sympathy to the family and friends of Patrick Crehan, Cappogue who passed away last Monday, may he rest in peace.

St Anne’s Camogie club posted a very fitting tribute to Patrick.

‘A former Togher man, Patrick was part of a family rich in Camogie history and played a part within St. Anne’s Club in our earlier years as trainer and indeed was also known to try his hand at match-day commentary. His talents had no boundaries.

‘Patrick was also a popular and well respected figure within Naomh Fionnbarra GFC. He was a former player who gave great service to his club. However, over the years as he transcended to selector/trainer/manager, it soon became apparent that he had the characteristics of a strong leader with an impressive knowledge of the game. Patrick treated players with respect and in turn he earned respect from them. Even in his final days he found the strength to discuss the progess of his much loved Naomh Fionnbarra club.

‘Patrick you were a true gentleman and will be forever associated with the Parish of Togher.

‘Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.’
