The annual Blessing of the Graves at Kilsharvan Graveyard will take place on Friday July 14th next beginning at 7.30pm.

MOSNEY/BRIARLEAS PARTY.

Following on from the great success of their `street-party` last year, the Mosney Road, Keenogue and Briarleas residents are once again hosting a similar gettogethe­r this coming Saturday, July 8th . The `streetfest` will take place in Reilly`s Daffodil Field on the Mosney Road beginning at 3pm and the BBQ will be served at around 4pm. So, if you are part of this extended community and wish to meet up with old and new friends and neighbours then the place to be this coming Saturday is on the Mosney Road; pass the word.

GOLDEN GIRLS.

The local Golden Girls along with some members of the East Meath Active Retirement Associatio­n went on a recent trip to the Fairyhouse Races and, by all accounts, they had a wonderful time which included a served up meal within their own Suite with panoramic views of all that was going on around them; however, despite a flutter and a win for one or two of the `crafty punters` they failed to secure the tote jackpot. Meanwhile the Golden Girls are off to the hills of beautiful Carlinford this week.

The Stamullen/Julianstow­n Parish Office will close for the summer holidays from this Friday, July 7th and will reopen on Monday July 24th at 9.30am.

Annual racing on the Hill this Thursday, Friday and Saturday in an all evening meeting.

The annual Sports Day and Recreation­al fun and games will take place at the Ringcommon­s Naul next Sunday, July 9th beginning at 2pm. Claire Dillon, finalist on TG4`s Glor Tire, will perform.
