200 NEW HOMES
Plans for Rathmullen Road and Balfeddock Manor
TWO new housing developments are earmarked for lands at Termonfeckin and the Rathmullen Road.
A decision is expected on August 6 to an application by Gallow Ash Limited for the demolition of an existing agricultural shed and the construction of 156 dwellinghouses, creche and all associated works including access, parking, footpaths, lighting, foul and surface/storm water drainage, landscaping and amenity areas, on the Rathmullen Road.
Meanwhile, permission has been granted for development at the partially constructed unfinished “ghost” estate known as “Balfeddock Manor” at Baltray Road, Balfeddock, Termonfeckin.
The development will consist of the demolition of the two detached two storey dwellings facing the Baltray to Termonfeckin Road and construction of two detached single storey dwellings in their place.
It will also see the construction of a total of 51 dwellings (including the 2 no. detached single storey dwellings), some with detached garages, in a mix of detached and semidetached form ranging in height from single storey to two storey with each dwelling having an option for the installation of photovoltaic/solar panels on front and/ or rear roof slopes.
The existing partially constructed access onto R167 Baltray to Termonfeckin Road will also be completed.
The development provides for the completion of a section of the previously approved Link Road between the Termonfeckin to Drogheda Road (R 166) and the Baltray to Termonfeckin Road (R 167), including provision of cyclepaths.
