Overgrown roundabout

The condition of the roundabout at Matthews Lane was raised at the July meeting of Drogheda Municipal District by Councillor Tommy Byrne who said it was completely overgrown and described the site as ‘absolutely disgraceful’. He said the grass here needed to be cut back as soon as possible.

‘ You can’t even see round it,’ he said.

However, Borough Engineer Pat Finn said the roundabout at Matthews Lane was provided as part of the Tesco Development and is not under the remit of the council as it has not yet been taken in charge.
