Greene clan on TV
1985: The Greene family from Rathmullen participated in Mike Murphy’s Micro Quiz-M .Most of the crew are young people working with hi-tech equipment, and Seamus and Cathal Greene enjoyed meeting them. Eamonn, Susan, Seamus and Cathal took their places on the set with the other families. (but did they win I wonder?).

1985: The new Diocesan Commissioner for the Catholic Rangers, Girl Guides and Brownies is Elizabeth Byrne, daughter of Christie and Sheila Byrne, Railway Bar, Ardee.
Elizabeth’s family have been involved with the Ardee unit of Girl Guides and Brownies since it was founded 10 years ago. Her mother worked on the committee and her sisters, Patricia and Pauline, were Guide leaders.
