Sods thrown at town’s Millmount visitors

Mr. Charles Corrigan. caretaker of one of Drogheda’s tourist attractions - Millmount - has complained to us regarding the treatment meted out to visitors to the ancient mound by some unruly children. Mr. Corrigan alleged that these children - he did not know from what area of the town they came - kept annoying visitors he was showing around the ancient fortification by “pelting them with sods.” This is really a disgraceful state of affairs and reflects very badly on the parents and teachers of such children who should make their charges aware of how to behave properly.
