Mother Frances Grogan

The death took place on Friday last at the Convent of Mercy, St Mary’s, Drogheda, of Mother M. Frances Therese Gogan, who was aged 61, and a native of Ardcath.

Mother Frances entered the Order of Mercy in 1926 and was professed three years later. Having a special aptitude for home economics she was elected Bursar to the Community in 1949, an office which she held until a month ago when she was elected Mother Assistant.
