Driver had no insurance

A MOTORIST caught driving without insurance has been convicted, fined €500 and disqualified from driving for two years.

David Butterly (46) of Chapel Road, Clogherhead was stopped on December 29th 2016 at Shetland Road, Termonfeckin. He has no previous convictions.

The prosecuting garda told Judge John Coughlan at Drogheda District Court the insurance disc displayed on the vehicle the defendant was driving related to a different vehicle.
