Boost as new stateof-the-art Duleek community centre is approved
Local Fianna Fáil Councillor for East Meath Stephen McKee, has welcomed the green light for planning permission for the new state-of-the-art all-inclusive Community Centre out at the GAA Grounds in Duleek.
McKee stated: ‘I am delighted with the news that Meath County Council have granted planning permission for this important development for the Community. This project is at an early stage but with the momentum that the awarding of planning permission provides, I am calling on all our local Dail T.D.’s to support the plans, particularly in advance of the next Sports Capital Grants Scheme this September.’
‘It makes sense as a relatively small community for our sporting clubs and community groups to actively co-operate to make the best use of available resources and funding and I pay tribute to both the GAA Club and the Athletics Club for their vision and purpose in reaching agreement to develop this project.’
‘As a parent with small children myself, it is vital that we do all we can to improve facilities and community infrastructure in the area for our youth and today’s news is a very positive step towards delivering a top-class facility for the Duleek area in the near future’ concluded McKee.
