MEATH COUNTY COUNCIL TO LOOK AT NEWLY ERECTED FENCE
MEATH County Council has confirmed that they’ve received two complaints in relation to new fencing erected around a property at Mornington, close to the Maiden’s Tower.
The fencing was erected in recent weeks and follows a planning application on the site.
An enforcement file has been referred to the Meath Conservation Officer for investigation.
The area has been the subject of a number of planning applications, in respect of the boat house, as well as the boundary with a latest application seeking the ‘construction of a new grassed boundary embankment, new entrance gates and piers to form an enclosure around the existing boathouse.’ A Natura Impact Statement was submitted with it.
Cllr Sharon Tolan made contact with the council after receiving a number of complaints about the visual impact the fence had caused.
