Joe’s farewell to the local court service

-

THERE was a farewell ceremony for Joe Clarke last week at the old courthouse on Dyer Street.

Joe has been caretaker of Drogheda courthouse building since February 2005 and was of tremendous assistance to Drogheda solicitors , to all visiting solicitors and counsel and to the general public.

He was of particular help to people dealing with domestic violence issues, so much so that he was fondly referred locally as Judge Joe.

He received presentations from Colm Berkery on behalf of Drogheda Solicitors, Noeleen Halpin on behalf of the Courts Service and Inspector Brendan Cadden on behalf of Drogheda Gardai on his retirement.
