GGray confidentfid t nerves won’t affect Louth

-

WHILE nerves are only natural ahead of an occasions like a Leinster final at Croke Park, Pat’s defender Leonard Gray is confident it won’t affect Louth on Sunday.

‘It’s a nice day to be involved in and it’s a big occasion, but I think once you get out on the pitch you settle down and focus on the game.

‘We didn’t know much about the 46 years thing until after the game in Wexford and everyone seemed to be on about it then. We haven’t given it too much thought, but it is good to be part of something like that.

‘It’s good that there hasn’t been much time to think about after the win in Wexford. It was a nice trip home knowing you were in a Leinster final but you had to concentrate on the final straight away.’

Gray doesn’t know a lot about the Dubs yet, but he says everyone is aware of the task facing Louth.

‘It’s Dublin in Croke Park so we know what to expect. They’ll be expected to win but I don’t think that takes the pressure off us at all. We want to win.’

Louth have come in leaps and bounds since the league campaign, and Gray puts it down to sheer hard work/

‘We just put in a bigger effort since the league and kept the hard work up in training and I suppose we turned the corner in Loais,’ he added.
