Happy campers in School of Karate

DROGHEDA School of Karate’s annual three-day Summer Camp took place on Thursday, Friday and Saturday 6th, 7th and 8th July in the Special Olympics Club at Cross Lanes.

Coca-Cola Internatio­nal Services gave a donation towards the cost of the 3 day event. Included on the programme of events were, Kihon Waza, Ranraku Waza, Ohyo Gumite, Kihon Gumite, Kata, Tanto Dori, Kumite, Bo and Jo, Throwing techniques, Japanese language cultural and tradition classes, with plenty of other competitio­ns over the 3 days. Rosemary Nult, Management Committee Secretary and Child care Officer presented the prizes, trophies, medals, certificat­es, framed pictures of Samurai warrior and Geisha ladies to all .
