On your marks for the great SOSAD 5k For Life on Friday
REMEMBER the date - Friday July 21st - and the event, the 2017 SOSAD 5k for Life.
The local organisation is targeting the event as a major fundraiser for this year and are keen to see as many as possible take part.
‘ This event is of crucial importance to SOSAD and our clients and we hope that it is a major success this year,’ Peter Moroney from SOSAD stated.
Anyone can register now on Eventbrite at https://www. eventbrite.com/e/sosad-5k-for-life-drogheda-tickets-33693389836 for just €10 plus the €1.57 entry fee or just turn up on the night and pay €15.
Such is the need for SOSAD’s services at the moment, they have an Outreach coming on board in Bailieboro and Monaghan town.
In September, in Drogheda, they will commence group therapy for teens, dealing with depression, stress and deliberate self harm.
The 5k For Life is a run, walk or jog, starting at Aura at 7pm and is backed by State Street, Eurospar and Aura.‘It’s vital for us,’ Peter states. ‘ The people of this town saved us last year when we had problems with funds and this is our main fundraiser this year. We’d love your support,’ he stated.
