Woman ‘drunk and abusive’ in Our Lady of Lourdes
A WOMAN who was drunk and abusive at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital has been given time to come up with €300 as a charitable contribution if she wants to avoid a conviction.
Simone McConville (32) pleaded guilty to the offences which happened on August 30th, 2016.
She has no previous convictions, Drogheda District Court heard. Judge John Coughlan said he is not impressed the offences took place in a hospital.
‘I will take €300 off her,’ said Judge Coughlan. Defence solicitor Patrick Goodwin said the defendant, who has four children, only has €100 with her.
‘ That’s not enough,’ said Judge Coughlan and adjourned the case until November 3rd for the €300 to be produced in court.
