Rosevale resurface

-

LOUTH County Council has no plans to resurface the road in the Rosevale Estate on the Beamore Road.

The issue was raised at the July meeting of Drogheda Municipal District by Councillor Tommy Byrne who asked the council to carry out a complete resurfacing of the road under Louth’s jurisdiction in the estate to bring it up to a modern standard in the interest of public safety and visual appearance and to liase with Meath County Council (MCC) for completion of the remaining stretch of road.

In response, the council said the Rosevale estate is not included in their Roadworks Programme for 2017 or in the multi- annual programme for 2018.

The council said in order for a road to be considered in the roadworks programme it must be identified as requiring road improvements and/or resurfacing works, depending on the condition of the road.

They said the road will be listed for inspection and may be considered at a future date subject to allocation of funding.
