Enda’s memorial cycle event

THE BIG hearted cyclists of the region are almost set to go again - all for the Gary Kelly Cancer Support Centre.

The Enda Collins Memorial Cycle 2017 is a one-day, 140km cycle from Carrick-on-Shannon to Drogheda - from the Shannon to the Boyne - in aid of the Gary Kelly Cancer Support Centre in Drogheda.

The cycle takes place on Saturday, September 16th, with transfer to Carrick-on-Shannon on Friday, September 15th.

The cycle is in memory of a great local athlete and a great man Enda Collins, and to say a big thank you for the support he received from the Gary Kelly Centre - an invaluable local support service.

Last year a whopping €50,000 was raised for the GK Centre in Drogheda and this year they are setting out to raise as much as possible.

This year they plan to cycle from Carrick-on-Shannon to Drogheda on Saturday, September 16th, 2017. This is a total distance of 140km.

Each entrant is asked to raise up to €500, for this you get:

* Transfer to Carrick-on-Shannon on Friday, September 15th, 2017, for you, your bike and your luggage.

* An overnight stay (based on 2 or 3 sharing) in a local hotel.

* Evening dinner in the hotel on the Friday night.

* Breakfast in the hotel on the morning of the cycle.

* Luggage transfer back to Drogheda on the day of the cycle.

* Cycling jersey.

* All food at the feeding stations on the route and at the finish.

How to Enter:

Each entrant will be asked to collect up to €500 to enter. This sum can be achieved with the aid of EverydayHe­ro and through other sponsorshi­p routes. Sponsorshi­p cards will be available upon request. Please email shannon2bo­ynecycle@gmail.com to enter or for further details.
