Grooves festival

The pubs and clubs of Drogheda will be coming alive with a wide variety of music styles from Ireland and beyond with the latest Grooves festival in town.

The venues will include the terrace of D’vine restaurant on Thursday evening July 20 where Farah Elle will play with a full band at the festival launch party.

Friday sees The Living Room in Sarsfields Bar feature Skafrica. Fakoli and the Clandestinos will provide a musial bracdrop of West African percussion and song with some West of Ireland Ska vibes. World renowned DJ and film maker Don Letts finishes the night with DJ set in Fusion Bar and nightclub.

Saturday Mc Phails as central for a carnival party featuring Beat n Drum percussion ensemble, Fehdah, Zaska and Cachimbo Brass with DJ’S Defensive mixup, Shoey and Andrew k providing the tunes til late into the night .

Sunday rounds off the weekend with a closing party at Odd Mollies feauturing London Afro Beat/Reggae kingpins Soothsayers plus Mama Kasbah, Function Creep and My House DJ’S .
