West Street charity shop to become new restaurant

A CHARITY shop on West Street is set to become the town’s next restaurant.

Permission has been granted by Louth County Council to turn No.90 West Street into a dining location, creating up to 25 jobs.

No name for the new premises has been decided as yet, according to the planning applicatio­n by Mount Braven Ltd.

Permission is also sought for erection of windows and relocation of existing door to a passageway between property located at No. 89 West Street and No. 90 West Street as well as erection of new rooflight. New link to the rear of the property at No. 90 West Street, connecting property at No. 89 West Street is being proposed.
