Van break-ins

GARDAI in Drogheda are investigat­ing a number of break-ins to vans in the local area over the past week.

They have appealed to tradespeop­le to take whatever precaution­s they can following a spate of similar incidents in recent weeks.

A break-in to a van which was parked at the Lidl store on the Donore Road is being investigat­ed by gardaí.

The incident happened on Saturday, July 22nd during a short space of time when the owner left the vehicle between 2pm and 2.10pm.

A Samsung Galaxy S5 mobile phone was taken form the vehicle and anyone with any informatio­n is asked to contact Drogheda Garda Station.

Meanwhile, two vans were broken into at the M1 Retail Park sometime between 9am and 6pm on Thursday, July 20th.

A Bosch drill was stolen from one and assorted tools including a generator was taken from the other vehicle.
