Drunk at beach

A man who was found in a drunken state at Bettystown Beach has had the case against him adjourned to September 26th. Ray Burke, The Drive, Inse Bay. The court heard the defendant, Ray Burke, The Drive, Inse Bay, was arrested at 2.30pm on Monday afternoon at Bettystown beach. When cautioned he said ‘I don’t give a f**k he threatened me. You can write that down.

Solicitor for the defence Eleanor Kelly said her client had little recollection of the previous day. She said he had drunk a bottle of wine before being brought to Drogheda Garda Station and doesn’t even remember signing a bail form.

Judge John Coughlan adjourned the case to September 26th and assigned legal aid.
