Woman’s €20 gesture made it a great night

PEOPLE can be amazing.

I was up at the superb SOSAD 5k run for life on Friday evening at Aura and waiting out on the road for the first of the finishers to come into sight when a woman driving along suddenly stopped.

Her passenger window came down and she handed out crisp €20 note.

‘Is this the event for SOSAD?,’ she asked. I replied in the positive and she asked if the €20 could go to the cause.

Peter Moroney was duly delighted when the €20 was handed to him. ‘It was a wonderful gesture from a woman we might never meet again,’ he stated.
