Up to a year before works will start in Julianstown
THOSE wishing to see traffic calming measures in Julianstown will have to wait a while.
Cllr Sharon Keogan asked what was being done to spend the first €150,000 of the €300,000 allocated for the measures for this year.
Meath CC responded by saying that they intend engaging consultant engineers later in the year and they’ll plan a design.
She told a recent council meeting that she feared monies would be eaten up by consultants to the tune of €40,000.
‘ The €300,000 needs to be spent now. It is disappointing that we’ll have to wait for a year in Julianstown now,’ she stated.
