SILENCE IS NOT GOLDEN

Silence is not golden in some cases. In recent times, there has been no microphone or other P.A systems in operation at the blessing of the graves in Kilsharvan cemetery. A significant percentage of the congregation cannot hear a single word from the priest during the ceremony. It Isn’t respectful to the congregation nor indeed to those souls that are interred in the cemetery.

Some people travel along way to honour their dead, which is quite honourable indeed and of course many people would live within the vicinity of the cemetery. They all attend in all weathers. The current situation must be addressed before next July.
