Willow Campbell’s Nanny fears

-

FEBRUARY 1970: The newly-appointed Public Relations Officer of Laytown and Bettystown Development Association, Mr. Willow Campbell, has expressed his concern at the pollution of the Nanny river in this conservation year.

“If the pollution of this river is allowed to continue,” said Mr. Campbell, “one of our greatest tourist amenities will be lost. The Nanny is one of the greatest trout fishing rivers in the eastern region.”
